ABOUT INTEGRA
Starting out on his own back in 1974, Don Long started the beginning of Integra Companies. With previous employment and 15 years experience at Hope Company, Don decided to venture out and start his own company specializing in hose. It all started in an old warehouse in Bedford, MA. After 5-6 years there, he decided to go else where and that’s when the company moved to “The Barn”, also located in Bedford,MA. With only 5 employees Don and his employees ran the show. “Customer Satisfaction is key,” Don says. “That’s what keeps you on top.”
That same attitude has been passed down and up until this very day, customer satisfaction is Integra’s top priority. Don and his employees worked out of the renovated barn for about 17 years. Sons Dwight and Doug Long (now President and Vice President of the company) worked with their father on vacations and summers throughout their college years. Towards the end of the “barn days” they told their father that they needed to get into a bigger place. That’s when they moved to Devens, MA, our current location.
Integra is still going strong, recently celebrating our 35th Anniversary.
